The handmade Howard is a supremely comfortable club chair with generous proportions, and a soft sprung back and low arms.

Our bespoke chairs and luxury furniture is brought to life through the most exceptional British craftsmanship and can be customised to specific requirements. The Howard chair is also available as a sofa and can be accompanied by a handmade footstool.

Fabrics

All of our pieces can be made in any suitable fabric from our extensive range, or a fabric of your choosing from other suppliers, including leather. We can also upholster in a combination of two or more fabrics, with a meticulous approach to pattern matching that ensures a truly perfect result.
Legs

Some of our furniture has the option of customisable legs depending on your preference, with options including straight, tapered, turned, and bamboo. We are happy to advise on the style of leg best suited to the period and proportions of each individual piece.
Nailings

All of our furniture comes with the option of additional decorative nailing, a feature that can truly customise your piece. There are eight colours to choose from, and you can select your preferred spacing, placement, pattern, and other specifics at the point of order.

Castors

Each frame is made to order from seasoned beechwood which is glued, screwed and dowelled together for strength and stability. Being an integral part of the frame, the legs must be specified at the start of the frame making process.

Most of our sofas and chairs can be made with turned or square tapered legs; and with castors or not. Please note the overall seat height of your furniture piece and its comfort will not be affected by the style of legs.

We are happy to advise you on what is best suited for the period and proportions of each individual piece.

All legs can be finished with castors or without depending on the desired look and the flooring the piece will be sitting on, as castors may not be suitable for use directly on hard flooring. To protect antique rugs from the weight of a sofa, we can also supply coasters which help spread the load of each leg.

Castors and coasters are available in three finishes.
