How we make our bespoke furniture
Beaumont & Fletcher’s bespoke furniture is brought to life through the very finest British craftsmanship and natural, sustainable materials. As well as being supremely comfortable, we believe a wisely bought sofa or armchair should last a lifetime and beyond, which is why each of our timeless creations is purposefully built to be loved for generations.
Each frame is made to order from seasoned beechwood, that is screwed, glued and dowelled for strength. The all important legs are part of the frame itself and can be adapted in both style and finish to suit your interior. Castors are optional, and come in various finishes.
The highest quality English webbing is meticulously stretched and nailed to the frame, before steel coils are individually tied by hand for lasting tension and comfort.
The frame is traditionally upholstered with cotton, lambswool and horse hair, while cushions are filled with your choice of the highest grade feather and down mix or a foam/feather wrap.
Each piece is masterfully finished in any fabric from Beaumont & Fletcher’s collection or your own preferred selection.
Some of our furniture comes with the option of decorative nailings, which are individually placed by hand and come in various colours. We can also customise with skirts, trimmings and hand embroidery on request.
